Professional Approach

Sharyn Campbell brings a powerful blend of clinical expertise, personal insight, and deep compassion to her work as both a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor. Her journey into counseling was born from her own lived experience—overcoming the lingering effects of childhood trauma, anxiety, and depression. Through healing and personal growth, Sharyn felt called to walk alongside others navigating similar emotional wounds.

Sharyn is most passionate about helping clients break free from negative thought patterns that have been shaped by painful experiences. She believes that by challenging irrational thinking and embracing healthier perspectives, individuals can experience lasting change—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Grounded in the belief that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds, Sharyn helps clients foster a more hopeful and empowered view of themselves, others, and the world around them.

Sharyn’s approach to therapy is warm, validating, and transparent. She believes the most effective therapeutic relationships are built on safety, mutual respect, and even moments of shared laughter. Clients describe her as someone who not only listens with empathy but also models authenticity by sharing her own humanity in ways that promote healing.

Specialties and Modalities

Her specialties include working with adult survivors of childhood abuse, individuals impacted by domestic violence, and couples experiencing relational conflict. She has a particular gift for helping couples rebuild connection and trust, even in the aftermath of serious challenges such as violence, betrayal, or long-term miscommunication. One of her most meaningful therapeutic experiences was supporting a couple on the verge of separation following a domestic violence dispute. With time and commitment, she helped them explore their communication styles, resolve conflicts with compassion, and ultimately rediscover a shared sense of partnership and purpose.

Therapeutic Modalities include:

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Biblically Sound Christian Counseling
  • Military Resilience Training

A Message to Prospective Clients

"Addiction is the thief who comes to steal, kill, and destroy: it takes your money, kills dreams, and destroys relationships. Substance abuse costs more than most are willing to pay. If you want your life back—reuniting with loved ones, fulfilling your God-given purpose, and finding the stability instrumental to growth—I am here to partner with you on that road.

You have a story to tell, and I’m here to listen. Let’s work together to clear the gray cloud and move toward deliverance, healing, and grace. I provide the foundation for developing a renewed mindset and the encouragement needed to build you back up after being torn down."

Beyond the Office

In addition to her counseling credentials, Sharyn is an ordained minister and a published author of Mindfulness Journaling in Jesus: 21 Days the Kingdom Way. She is also certified in Military Resilience through her postgraduate studies at Liberty University, equipping her to support veterans and military families navigating transition and trauma.
