Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in Round Rock, TX
Therapy, at its heart, means “to help.” Insight matters — but growth also requires movement. Our work together combines understanding with steady, practical steps forward. Sometimes that means exploring long-standing patterns; other times it means strengthening boundaries, improving communication, or building the skills needed to parent effectively under stress.
A difficult divorce — and seeing the impact high-conflict separation can have on children — profoundly shaped my path. I became a therapist with a clear purpose: to help families navigate conflict and transition in ways that protect children and reduce long-term emotional harm.
About me:
While marriage and family therapy is the foundation of my work, my earlier training as a professional coach at the Co-Active Training Institute helped shape the way I approach talk therapy. I spent more than two decades working as a personal coach, where I developed an attentive, intuitive listening style and a deep respect for the unspoken patterns that influence people’s lives. That experience naturally informed and strengthened my clinical focus, ultimately leading me to pursue formal training in marriage and family therapy as the central framework of my practice.
Outside of my professional work, I play guitar and sing, enjoy working at the pottery wheel, and love to cook. I believe creativity, resilience, and healing are deeply connected — and that even in difficult seasons, meaningful change is possible.
About my experience and expertise:
I began my professional life as an engineer, entrepreneur, and personal coach before becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist. With a degree in International Business and years of experience running and successfully selling my own company, I bring a grounded, real-world perspective to my clinical work and a deep understanding of the pressures individuals and families face.
I contributed as a co-author to the collaborative book Building Bridges of Hope, published in July 2024. The book explores practical, trauma-informed approaches to navigating the complex dynamics of high-conflict custody and co-parenting challenges. My contribution emphasizes strategies that support child well-being while fostering healthier communication and long-term stability for families.
About my approach:
I practice from a trauma-informed perspective with a strong emphasis on emotional and relational safety. I believe meaningful change happens when people — especially children — feel safe, respected, and understood. My work focuses on families and children affected by divorce, conflict, and relational wounds, and I am attentive to how trauma influences attachment, communication, and emotional regulation.
Drawing from both my coaching background and clinical training, I blend warmth with structure. I help individuals, couples, and families move from reactivity to reflection, from blame to responsibility, and toward thoughtful, values-based action.
In our collaboration, we move at a pace that feels thoughtful and sustainable. I offer guidance, perspective, and a steady presence; you bring honesty and a willingness to embrace change. Together, we focus on creating greater emotional safety, stronger relationships, and the confidence to move forward with clarity and resilience.
About my services:
I offer counseling for individuals, couples, and families. While insurance coverage for individual and couples/marital therapy is currently limited, I provide private-pay options for these services. For individual and family therapy, clients may begin with self-pay and transition to insurance once credentialing is complete.
