LPC, CEDS

Do you feel stuck in a cycle of self-criticism, disconnection, or exhaustion from trying to meet impossible standards? Are you ready to find freedom from food and body struggles, or to heal from trauma that continues to shape your life today? My passion is helping individuals move toward peace with their bodies, their stories, and themselves—reclaiming joy and purpose along the way.

About me:

I’m Kaylyn (she/her/hers). I graduated from Tarleton State University with a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp).

Throughout my career, I’ve specialized in eating disorders, trauma recovery, and suicide prevention, and I’m deeply committed to creating suicide-safer communities. My goal is to meet you where you are—with authenticity, empathy, and collaboration—and to help you move toward a life rooted in connection and self-acceptance.

I believe in a trauma-informed, culturally inclusive, and holistic approach to healing. As a certified yoga instructor, I value uniting mind and body, especially when they often feel at odds. In our work together, we’ll focus on safety, compassion, and curiosity as we unpack your story and rediscover your strengths.

About my experience and expertise:

My career began at the Heart of Texas Behavioral Health Network, where I provided case management and later counseling for adults and geriatric clients. There, I specialized in eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma, and developed trainings in suicide prevention and early eating disorder detection to strengthen community awareness and support. Since 2021, I have served as a Primary Therapist with the Eating Recovery Center’s Virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), providing specialized treatment for eating disorders, OCD, anxiety, and trauma in adults, adolescents, and children. I draw from CBT, ACT, DBT, ERP, and PE to create collaborative, client-centered treatment plans that foster resilience and healing. In addition to my clinical work, I lead restorative yoga sessions for staff to promote mindfulness, prevent burnout, and encourage balance between mind and body.
